Job Title: Residential Support Staff

Reports to: BHRF House Manager

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Status: Full-time

Essential Functions (duties)

Resident Support and Supervision:

Provide direct supervision of residents in accordance with treatment plans and safety protocols.
Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including meal preparation, hygiene, and medication reminders.
Monitor resident behavior and ensure compliance with facility rules and expectations.

Therapeutic Environment:

Build positive and therapeutic relationships with residents.
Facilitate group activities, skill-building exercises, and recreational programs.
De-escalate situations using crisis intervention techniques and follow facility protocols.

Documentation and Communication:

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident activities, behaviors, and incidents.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders, including case managers and clinicians.
Participate in shift change meetings to ensure continuity of care.

Safety and Compliance:

Conduct routine safety checks and ensure the environment remains safe and clean.
Administer first aid or respond to emergencies as needed.
Adhere to all state regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational policies.

Training and Development:

Attend mandatory training sessions, including CPR, first aid, and crisis intervention.
Stay informed about best practices in behavioral health care.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED required.
Associate's degree or higher in behavioral health, psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
Prior Experience working in behavioral health, social services, or residential care.
